Teddy has over thirteen years of experience in private equity and venture capital. He spent eight years in the private equity industry at Partners Group. For two years, he built up the leading Swiss P2P lending platform CreditGate24 as partner and Chief Business Development Officer. He is a lecturer for private equity and fintech and a private equity book author. Teddy was selected to be a member of the Swiss National Startup Team in Fintech by Venturelab in 2017. Teddy holds an M.A. in Banking and Finance from the University of St. Gallen (HSG) and a PhD in Sociology from the University of Zurich.

 

Colinne S. Bartel

Colinne S. Bartel is the owner of AC Innovation GmbH. AC Innovation serves as a marketing and business development catalyst for entrepreneurs. As chief project manager, Ms. Bartel was responsible for capital expenditures and acquisition integration for an Advent International portfolio company that executed one of the fastest growing telecommunications buy & build projects in Europe. After finalizing her MBA and a research trip in East Africa in 2002, Colinne joined McKinsey & Company. Ms. Bartel holds a B.A. in Political Science from University of California, Los Angeles, an M.A. in International Relations from the Claremont Graduate School and a dual MBA in Strategy and Finance from The Peter F. Drucker School of Management and the EDHEC Business School. Her passions are sports, the arts and cultural exchange.

Klaas de Boer

Klaas has over 20 years of venture capital experience, mainly in Europe, but also in North America and Israel. He is currently Managing Partner of Entrepreneurs Fund (EF), which he joined in 2006. At Entrepreneurs Fund, Klaas’s responsibilities included inge GmbH (sold to BASF), Technolas Perfect Vision (sold to Bausch & Lomb), Prosonix Ltd (sold to Circassia), Lifeline Scientific Inc (sold to Genext), New Motion (sold to Shell) and Optinose (Nasdaq listing). He currently represents EF on the boards of General Fusion Inc, SmartKem Ltd and vasopharm GmbH. Outside of EF, Klaas is a member of the investment committee of Dutch Venture Initiative, and from 2014-2016 he chaired the council of the International Venture Club.  Klaas also represents NESTA’s social impact fund on the board of Oomph Wellness Ltd, having been a member of the fund’s investment committee for 3 years.
Klaas started his career with McKinsey & Company in Amsterdam. From there he joined Vanenburg Group where established a corporate venturing group led investments in Europe, Israel and the US, which included WebEx. Klaas has an MSc in Applied Physics from Delft University of Technology, and an MBA from Insead.

 

Christophe de Dardel
Managing Director

Is Head of Private Equity, a member of the Private Equity Investment Committee, of the Global Research Committee and a member of Unigestion’s Executive Committee. He was most recently Head of Portfolio Management within the Private Equity team. He joined Unigestion in January 2001. Christophe previously spent more than ten years on several continents at the Société Générale de Surveillance, a global inspection and testing group. He then established and ran the Swisscom Venture Fund, a corporate fund aimed at financing entrepreneurial initiatives of Swisscom collaborators. Christophe holds a Degree in Engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich.

Therese Gerber is founder and owner of Zug based, CONTAG Management Consultancy.  Founded in 2002, CONTAG provides tailored strategic advice to service providers in the Swiss institutional market, to support market entry, growth and restructuring. CONTAG’s  distribution concepts base on market research within an established network of relationships among pension funds, insurances, real estate-, risk- and asset managers.  Ms. Gerber’s expertise stems from her professional engagements at various established financial institutions like Credit Suisse, Bank Sarasin, Mercury Asset Management/Merrill Lynch, ABN Amro and others. She is a business economist, graduate of the SFI-Swiss Finance Institute of University of Zurich and of the Program of Executive Development of IMD in Lausanne.

Her latest publications are Women and Risk (2018) and a children’s book series on money, ethics, equality and sustainability: A Smart Way To Start (2018, 2019). Bill Kelly

William (Bill) J. Kelly is the CEO of the CAIA Association. Bill has been a frequent industry speaker, writer, and commentator on alternative investment topics around the world since taking the leadership role at the CAIA Association in January, 2014. Previously, Bill was the CEO of Boston Partners and one of seven founding partners of the predecessor firm, Boston Partners Asset Management which, prior to a majority interest being sold to Robeco Group in Rotterdam in 2002, was an employee-owned firm. Bill’s career in the institutional asset management space spans over 30 years where he gained extensive managerial experience through successive CFO, COO and CEO roles.

Graziano has more than 30 years of experience in investment consulting, advisory services for institutional investors, asset management and investment surveys. He is advising a broad spectrum of institutional and professional investors in traditional and non-traditional investments, in Switzerland and abroad. Before his present position he exercised managerial roles in asset management (Robeco), banking (UBS), international pension solutions (Zurich Insurance) and pension consulting (Aon).

He holds a PhD from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva, a master’s degree in internationalrelations, a federal certificate as a pension actuary and a bachelor in economic history. He has published a variety of articles and books on institutional asset management, retirement and pension fund issues. Graziano works in French, English, German and Italian.

He is the Founder and Managing Partner of Lusenti Partners, a boutique investment consulting company he created in 2002 in Nyon/Geneva (Switzerland). 

The company is providing independent advisory services for institutional and professional investors as well as family offices, with a focus on Swiss and European pension funds. Key services encompass investment assessment and audit, ALM studies, investment support and follow-up, investment controlling and reporting, risk analysis and management, manager and investment product searches and selection.

 

Heiko Nemmert
Baby Giant Hollyberg

Heiko Nemmert is one of the four founders of the international studio Baby Giant Hollyberg. As one of Baby Giant's CEOs, he is responsible for overseeing the studio's foreign affairs. He also co-manages the studio's North-American business.
Heiko has over 20 years of experience in the media industry and managed several studios before co-founding Baby Giant. He helped produce numerous TV-programs and films for German public-service and private television.  During his early career days, he gained valuable knowledge in the online sector, working for brands such as Coca Cola, Kellogg's, and Motorola.  Thanks to his deep understanding of the different media forms and distribution channels, he is a driving force in Baby Giant's business development and technical development.

 

Bruno Pfister
Bruno Pfister holds various board positions in Insurance and Asset Management. He was from 2014 to 2018 Executive Chairman of the Wealth Management & Trust Division of Rothschild & Co. From 2002  to 2014 he was a member of the Group Management of Swiss Life AG, at the beginning as Group CFO, then as CEO International and finally as Group CEO. Previously he worked for Chase Manhattan Bank (today JP Morgan), McKinsey, LGT and Credit Suisse.
He studied law at the University of Geneva and was admitted to the bar of the Canton of Geneva in Switzerland. He also holds an MBA with focus on financial management from UCLA Graduate School of Management in Los Angeles (today: UCLA Anderson School of Management).

Before Frank Pöpplow joined Federated in 2006 he worked as Managing Director for Sales and Purchasing at attrax S.A., Luxembourg, Head of Institutional Sales at DZ Bank, Frankfurt, Head of Sales and Marketing at DG Bank, Frankfurt and for Sales Fixed Income Products and Derivatives at DG Bank, Frankfurt. 
Frank Pöpplow studied Economics at Friedrich-Wilhelm University in Bonn. 

 

Julika Riegler
IFAW (the International Fund for Animal Welfare)

Julika actively contributes to making the world a better place, evidenced by her lead role as communications partner for international NGOs and UN agency relations (UNICEF, Save the Children, MSF, IRC). Her extensive experience in communications includes retail, philanthropy and most recently conservation and animal welfare as Director of Communications for Europe with IFAW (the International Fund for Animal Welfare).
Previously as Communications Manager at the IKEA Foundation, she developed communication strategies comprised of multi-channel content for education programs, humanitarian and agricultural livelihood portfolios. Additionally, she led the foundation’s digital and social medial channels, growing their Facebook community to over 1.3 million followers.
Her retail experience stems from her time at Inter IKEA Systems. Prior to this, she worked with NOKIA, helping them expand operations across Germany to more than 250 retail stores.
Juli holds a master in Public Relations with post graduate degrees in Politics and Media Law. Juli studied in her native country Germany and additionally in New Zeeland. Currently, she calls The Netherlands home, where she is passionate about her family life, as mom of a teenage girl and two-year-old toddler boy.

 

Dr. Thomas Steinemann

Thomas Steinemann ist seit 2013 Chief Investment Officer und Mitglied der Geschäftsleitung bei der Privatbank Bellerive AG in Zürich. Von 2000 bis 2012 war er Chefstratege der Vontobel Gruppe. Von 1992 bis 2000 bekleidete er verschiedene leitende Funktionen in der Credit Suisse, zuletzt als Leiter Anlagepolitik und Vorsitzender des Anlagekomitees. Thomas Steinemann studierte Volkswirtschaftslehre an der Universität Zürich und promovierte 1992 am Institut für empirische Wirtschaftsforschung mit einer Arbeit über die Vor- und Nachteile einer Europäischen Währungsunion und des Euros.

 

Dr. Louise Tumchewics
Centre for Historical Analysis and Conflict Research, British Army

Dr. Louise Tumchewics has a PhD in War Studies from King’s College London, focusing on improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and policy responses to unconventional weapons. She is a senior research fellow at the British Army’s Centre for Historical Analysis and Conflict Research, where she works on capability requirements and force development, including a new approach to urban operations.  Louise is presently writing a history of the IED, and has spoken on defence topics at various international for a, including the United Nations. 

 

Bernhard Wenger

In his current position Bernhard Wenger is country manager for State Street Global Advisors and Head of SPDR ETFs in Switzerland.
In previous roles Bernhard was Head of European Distribution at ETF Securities and held senior positions at Morgan Stanley, HSBC and BNP Paribas. Bernhard holds a „European Master in Management“ of ESCP Europe (Paris, Oxford, Berlin).
