Dr. Giuseppe Ballocchi, CFA is passionate about bridging the gap between the theory and the practice of finance with a pragmatic, multi-disciplinary approach. He is a partner with Alpha Governance Partners and specializes in derivative strategies. Dr. Ballocchi serves on a number of company and investment fund boards. He is an Adjunct Professor and member of the Steering Committee for the Master in Finance at the University of Lausanne and a Visiting Professor at the University of Malta. He is a member of the Future of Finance Content Council of CFA Institute and represents CFA Institute on the IFRS Advisory Council. Dr. Ballocchi was head of financial engineering and risk analytics at Pictet & Cie, chief investment officer at Olsen Ltd, a fixed-income manager at the Asian Development Bank in Manila and a high-energy physicist at CERN. He holds a laurea (MS) in physics from the University of Bologna (Italy), an MBA from the Open University (United Kingdom), and a PhD in high-energy physics from the University of Rochester (United States). He is the author of more than 50 academic publications in physics and finance, including a reading for the CFA curriculum. He is currently writing a book on Pitfalls in Wealth Management.

Colinne S. Bartel is the owner of AC Innovation GmbH. AC Innovation serves as a marketing and business development catalyst for entrepreneurs. As chief project manager, Ms. Bartel was responsible for capital expenditures and acquisition integration for an Advent International portfolio company that executed one of the fastest growing telecommunications buy & build projects in Europe. After finalizing her MBA and a research trip in East Africa in 2002, Colinne joined McKinsey & Company. Christina joined Muzinich in 2013 and is an experienced fund manager with a distinguished career in corporate credit spanning 20 years. She manages two dedicated Asia credit strategies and is also a member of the investment firm’s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Working Group. Prior to joining Muzinich, Christina held various credit/trading roles at Deutsche Bank including managing portfolios of bank risk. Before that, she was a Credit Analyst at Schroders Investment Management and Commerzbank and also worked for Fitch Ratings where she was responsible for rating Korean banks during the Asia Crisis in 1996 and Japanese banks during their banking crisis. Christina holds a BA from the University of Oxford and an MA from the University of London. She was awarded the Yamamuro Trust Foundation Scholarship for an International Politics programme at Keio University, Tokyo, and she is fluent in five languages. James co-founded CAASA in response to industry support for a Canadian alternatives. James currently sits on the Canadian Investment Funds Standards Committee (CIFSC), which categorizes mutual funds and alternative mutual funds (aka liquid alternatives) for the retail space in Canada. He is also called upon by membership and industry groups to speak to risk ratings and portfolio placement of all types of alternative investments.
James also has experience in research and writing for the CAIA Association (holding the designation since 2006) as well as serving on CAIA’s exam council and as a grader for the Level II portion of the exam. He had roles in institutional sales and FoHF structuring in Seoul, South Korea, as a Product Manager at ICICI Wealth Management, and as an Investment Advisor at RBC Dominion Securities. Heiko Nemmert is one of the four founders of the international studio Baby Giant Hollyberg. As one of Baby Giant's CEOs, he is responsible for overseeing the studio's foreign affairs. He also co-manages the studio's North-American business.
