Daniel Andres

He worked in Zurich, Geneva and London and was the Head Global Markets Sales for Switzerland at BNP Paribas. In 2014, he successfully co-launched dakuro GmbH, a Swiss SME focusing on health and safety equipment. For more than seven years, he has been an active venture capital investor in various startups, mainly in the technology sector. Daniel holds an M.A. in Banking and Finance from the University of St. Gallen (HSG).

 

Colinne S. Bartel

Colinne S. Bartel is the owner of AC Innovation GmbH. AC Innovation serves as a marketing and business development catalyst for entrepreneurs. As chief project manager, Ms. Bartel was responsible for capital expenditures and acquisition integration for an Advent International portfolio company that executed one of the fastest growing telecommunications buy & build projects in Europe. After finalizing her MBA and a research trip in East Africa in 2002, Colinne joined McKinsey & Company. Ms. Bartel holds a B.A. in Political Science from University of California, Los Angeles, an M.A. in International Relations from the Claremont Graduate School and a dual MBA in Strategy and Finance from The Peter F. Drucker School of Management and the EDHEC Business School. Her passions are sports, the arts and cultural exchange.

 

Christina Bastin
Muzinich & Co.,Portfolio Manager Emerging Markets – Asia

Christina joined Muzinich in 2013 and is an experienced fund manager with a distinguished career in corporate credit spanning 20 years. She manages two dedicated Asia credit strategies and is also a member of the investment firm’s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Working Group.  Prior to joining Muzinich, Christina held various credit/trading roles at Deutsche Bank including managing portfolios of bank risk. Before that, she was a Credit Analyst at Schroders Investment Management and Commerzbank and also worked for Fitch Ratings where she was responsible for rating Korean banks during the Asia Crisis in 1996 and Japanese banks during their banking crisis. Christina holds a BA from the University of Oxford and an MA from the University of London. She was awarded the Yamamuro Trust Foundation Scholarship for an International Politics programme at Keio University, Tokyo, and she is fluent in five languages. Christina has been shortlisted as a finalist in the Fund Manager of the Year category (small to medium firms) in Investment Week’s Women in Investment Awards in 2018 and 2019. 

 

Rebecca Chesworth
State Street Global Advisors

Rebecca has worked in equity markets for over 25 years as investment analyst, fund manager and leader in business development. She joined State Street Global Advisors in 2016 as a Senior Equity Strategist to work with SPDR’s ETF Strategy & Research team in London. Her focus is on equities, sectors and ESG ETFs, providing thought leadership and investor insights. She is best known as author of the SPDR Sector Compass and the quarterly Sector Picks.

Rebecca’s previous role was at Hermes Investment Management where she helped to build the equities business and integrate ESG research in to the investment process. Prior to that, she managed over £1bn of active equity institutional portfolios and retail funds at Rothschild Asset Management and Insight Investments. She also served as an investment specialist at Threadneedle and started her career at former stockbrokers, BWD Rensburg, in Liverpool where she headed the research team.

Rebecca is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Securities & Investment and holds a BA (Hons) in Economics/Economic History from the University of Liverpool.

 

Diego Föllmi

Vor seinem Wechsel zu Hérens Quality AM war er mehrere Jahre in verschiedenen Positionen bei der Credit Suisse tätig. Dr. Jackson Janes
The German Marshall Fund of the United States

Jackson Janes is senior fellow at the German Marshall Fund and president emeritus of the American Institute for Contemporary German Studies at the Johns Hopkins University in Washington, DC, where he has been affiliated since 1989.
Dr. Janes has been engaged in German-American affairs in numerous capacities over many years. He has studied and taught in German universities in Freiburg, Giessen, and Tübingen. He was the director of the German-American Institute in Tübingen (1977-1980) and then directed the European office of The German Marshall Fund of the United States in Bonn (1980-1985). Before joining AICGS, he served as director of Program Development at the University Center for International Studies at the University of Pittsburgh (1986-1988). He was also chair of the German Speaking Areas in Europe Program at the Foreign Service Institute in Washington, DC, from 1999-2000 and president of the International Association for the Study of German Politics from 2005-2010.
Dr. Janes is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, the International Institute for Strategic Studies, and the Atlantic Council of the United States. He serves on the advisory boards of the Berlin office of the American Jewish Committee, Beirat der Zeitschrift für Außen- und Sicherheitspolitik (ZfAS), the Robert Bosch Foundation Alumni Association, and the American Bundestag Intern Network (ABIN) in Washington, DC. He is a member of the board of the German American Fulbright Commission and serves on the Selection Committee for the Bundeskanzler Fellowships for the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. He is a member of the Cosmos Club in Washington DC.
Dr. Janes has lectured throughout Europe and the United States and has published extensively on issues dealing with Germany, German-American relations, and transatlantic affairs. In addition to regular commentary given to European and American news radio, he has appeared on CBS, CNN, C-SPAN, PBS, CBC, and is a frequent commentator on German television. Dr. Janes is listed in Who’s Who in America and Who’s Who in Education.
In 2005, Dr. Janes was awarded the Officer’s Cross of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany, Germany’s highest civilian award.

 

Graziano Lusenti

Graziano has more than 30 years of experience in investment consulting, advisory services for institutional investors, asset management and investment surveys. He is advising a broad spectrum of institutional and professional investors in traditional and non-traditional investments, in Switzerland and abroad. Before his present position he exercised managerial roles in asset management (Robeco), banking (UBS), international pension solutions (Zurich Insurance) and pension consulting (Aon).

He holds a PhD from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva, a master’s degree in internationalrelations, a federal certificate as a pension actuary and a bachelor in economic history. He has published a variety of articles and books on institutional asset management, retirement and pension fund issues. Graziano works in French, English, German and Italian.

He is the Founder and Managing Partner of Lusenti Partners, a boutique investment consulting company he created in 2002 in Nyon/Geneva (Switzerland). 

The company is providing independent advisory services for institutional and professional investors as well as family offices, with a focus on Swiss and European pension funds. Key services encompass investment assessment and audit, ALM studies, investment support and follow-up, investment controlling and reporting, risk analysis and management, manager and investment product searches and selection.

 

Laura Merlini
CAIA Association

Laura Merlini, CAIA is Managing Director EMEA for the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) Association. Laura joined the CAIA Association in March 2012 with over seven years of business development and sales experience throughout Europe in the alternative investments industry mainly in the areas of fund set-up, administration, banking and custody. She formerly worked at Credit Suisse (previously Fortis Prime Fund Solutions) in Milan, Madrid and Geneva. She earned the CAIA charter in 2007 and has been an active CAIA proponent and member-volunteer. Laura co-founded the CAIA Iberia chapter (based in Madrid) in 2008 and she has led the Geneva committee of CAIA Switzerland since 2010. She is also a member of the Educational Committee of 100 Women in Hedge Funds Association in Geneva. Laura earned a BA in Business Administration at Bocconi University in Milan, received the CEMS MIM (Community of European Management Schools) MSc in International Management in 2002 and completed the Executive Master in Positive Psychology, Leadership and Strategy form IE, Madrid in 2014.

 

Heiko Nemmert
Baby Giant Hollyberg

Heiko Nemmert is one of the four founders of the international studio Baby Giant Hollyberg. As one of Baby Giant's CEOs, he is responsible for overseeing the studio's foreign affairs. He also co-manages the studio's North-American business.
Heiko has over 20 years of experience in the media industry and managed several studios before co-founding Baby Giant. He helped produce numerous TV-programs and films for German public-service and private television.  During his early career days, he gained valuable knowledge in the online sector, working for brands such as Coca Cola, Kellogg's, and Motorola.  Thanks to his deep understanding of the different media forms and distribution channels, he is a driving force in Baby Giant's business development and technical development.

 

Oni Oviri

Oni is a global supply chain specialist and the founder and Director of Sasare Associates. As a result of having both public and private sector consulting experience in the UK and in sub-Saharan Africa, Sasare provides a platform to continue the transfer of knowledge and to help develop and build business supply chains in sub-Saharan Africa for small and large companies alike. Oni is an advisor to the British Government with regards to Brexit and supply chain issues. 

 

 

Keith Phillips

Will Pomroy
Hermes Investment Management, Lead Engager SDG Engagement and Small & Mid Cap Equities

Will joined Hermes in 2015 and, in addition to overseeing and leading the engagement programme for the SDG Engagement Equity strategy, provides ESG analysis for and engagement with stocks in the firm’s small- and mid-cap strategies. Will has a decade of experience in the responsible investment space having, among his roles before joining Hermes, led the stewardship and corporate governance activity of the UK’s National Association of Pension Funds (now known as the Pensions and Lifetime Savings Association). Prior to entering the world of responsible investment, Will worked as a senior parliamentary researcher in the UK Parliament. He chairs the Corporate Governance Expert Group of the Quoted Companies Alliance and is a member of the Corporate Governance Committee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. Will holds an MSc in Public Policy and Management from Birkbeck College at the University of London and a BSc (Hons) in Forensic Science from the University of West of England. He also holds the Investment Management Certificate and the Certificate in ESG Investing, both from the CFA UK.

 

Stefan Riße

Stefan Riße ist Kapitalmarktstratege bei der ACATIS Investment Kapitalverwaltungsgesellschaft mbH. Bereits im Alter von 17 Jahren lernte er den im September 1999 verstorbenen Börsenaltmeister André Kostolany kennen, mit dem ihn bis zu dessen Tod eine enge Freundschaft verband. François Savary

Frank Schnattinger

After studying economics at the University of Erlangen/Nuremberg Frank Schnattinger was on the editorial boards of various publications in the areas of corporate finance, stock market and investment management, for instance as Editor-in-Chief of the IPO-publication GoingPublic-magazine and as managing editor of bfinance Germany. Back in 2005 he founded www.institutional-investment.de as information platform for institutional investors in the German-speaking market. In 2007 IPE Investment & Pensions Europe became a major shareholder. Since then he serves as Managing Editor for the joint subsidiary IPE D.A.CH (formerly IPE Institutional Investment).

 

Alexander Stoeckel

Alexander has an academic background in business & administration. He studied International Management at the European Business School (EBS) and the International School of Management (ISM), and he holds an MBA from the University of Oxford (2006). He started his career in 2001 as a fund-of-fund manager at the private bank Hauck & Aufhaeuser and then joined KPMG in 2002 as personal assistant to the Global Managing Partner for Tax. After his MBA, Alexander started to work at the Swiss-based venture capital firm BrainsToVentures (b-to-v) as an Investment Manager in 2007. He was appointed as Principal in 2012, Partner in 2013, and Board Member in 2014. Alexander acts as a guest lecturer for MBA & EMBA courses hosted at the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland. In 2019, Alexander decided to join Philip Morris International as Director for Venture Capital. Dr. Louise Tumchewics
Centre for Historical Analysis and Conflict Research, British Army

Dr. Louise Tumchewics has a PhD in War Studies from King’s College London, focusing on improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and policy responses to unconventional weapons. She is a senior research fellow at the British Army’s Centre for Historical Analysis and Conflict Research, where she works on capability requirements and force development, including a new approach to urban operations.  Louise is presently writing a history of the IED, and has spoken on defence topics at various international for a, including the United Nations.
